Chen Lesheng, Chief Engineer of Sichuan Provincial Transportation Department, engaged, for years, in survey, design and construction of highways, bridges and tunnels and recently focusing on seismic research in highways of Wenchuan Earthquake. He has been successively rewarded with one Second-prize of National Science and Technology Progress Award, one Second-prize of Provincial Science and Technology Progress Award and one First-prize of China Highway and Transportation Society Science and Technology Progress Award.
