This book mainly expounds the method and application of highway landscape planning and construction. The first three chapters expound the connotation and characteristics of highway landscape, the effect of highway landscape design and the basic principles and methods of highway landscape planning and construction. Based on practical examples, the landscape construction methods of route, roadbed, tunnel and highway interchanges are respectively introduced from the fourth to the seventh chapter, including the main route landscape form, the roadbed structure greening, the tunnel entrance landscape construction, the interchange scene construction, etc.

This book is useful for highway landscape planning and design personnel and also can be used for reference by highway design and management personnel.

Deng Weidong, Ph. D, research fellow, and Deputy Chief Engineer of China Merchants Chongqing Communications Research & Design Institute Co., Ltd; engaged in such technical work as road engineering science and technology and engineering design over a long period of time, successively took in charge of and participated in nearly 30 major projects of scientific research, design and technical consulting, published more than 40 theses on domestic and foreign journals, took in charge of and participated in compiling more than 5 technical standards of China and the Ministry of Transport and made a major contribution to technological innovation and technical progress of the national transport construction; granted with the special allowance of the State Council in 2001 and honored with the title of Young Transport Science and Technology Elite of the Ministry of Transport during 2004~2005.
