The Book is in two volumes. Volume I collects the major practices of 12 Chinese and foreign cities, including Beijing, Shenzhen and Singapore, in governance of urban traffic jams and introduces about their basic facts, history of urban traffic development and major practices in the governance of urban traffic jams, respectively. Volume II presents in-depth analyses of key problems in line with the governance of urban traffic jams. It induces and summarizes the major experiences in governance of urban traffic jams at home and abroad and their enlightenment for the governance of urban traffic jams in China from such aspects as intensifying the guidance of traffic planning, giving priority to the development of urban public transport, implementing the management of traffic demand, building urban comprehensive traffic system, constructing urban intelligent traffic system and strengthening the construction of urban traffic culture.
